Tied for the highest rated episode of Fox's 9-1-1, season 5, episode 14 titled Dumb Luck, follows up on Eddie Diaz's breakdown in the previous episode with some help from Evan Buckley, while rest of the 118 race to save a woman who fell off a balcony. Sgt. Athena Grant investigates missing stop signs that almost kill two people. Maddie and Chim worry that their daughter, Jee-Yun, needs medical attention.

Follow along as I live blog the episode with my thoughts on all the action! 9-1-1 is available to stream on Hulu.

0:20- "With high risk, come high reward" she says on the balcony of a sky scraper. This unlucky couple is most likely going to need rescuing in some way...

0:48- Oh, maybe don't pick her up and approach the glass railing. Definitely don't sit her on the glass railing.

0:56- Aaaaand... She fell. Cue the 118 to the rescue!

1:17- Captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) wastes no time telling his team what they need to know in order to help. We love Captain Nash.

1:26- "Floor's too high for the ladder!" Oh, really, thank you Lucy (Arielle Kebbel). Who would have guess the ladder won't reach all the way up the skyscraper.

1:48- The music and daring rescue makes it feel a lot more like Classic 9-1-1. Except Lucy's there...

1:53- "How about we stay away from the edge of that balcony, sir." We can always count on Captain Nash to provide the common sense.

2:19- They would send Buck (Oliver Stark) down the side of the building. Like I said, feels a lot more like Classic 9-1-1.

2:28- Uh-oh, the rope holding the woman up is starting to break. Buck better move fast!

3:07- OH MY GOSH. She fell from the sign! Lucy managed to catch her mid free-fall out of a window? Okay, Lucy! Here's a little behind the scenes action from the stunt!

3:38- Breakfast with Eddie (Ryan Guzman) and Christopher (Gavin McHugh)? Count me in, please! Eddie as a waiter is either cute, funny, or both!

4:23- I love getting to see Eddie being so playful with Christopher. I feel like he's been through it this season, it's a nice change!

4:43- What is wrong with his leg? Is that blood?

4:58- Oh. He's reliving all of his traumatic moments? The helicopter crash, the shooting, being trapped underground- this must be a dream.

5:06- Christopher being unbothered by his dad saying "I think I'm dying." This BETTER be a dream.

5:17- Okay, okay! He woke up! It was all a dream!

5:30- Bobby being there when he wakes up? Buck took Christopher to school? I am so certain that Buck called Bobby so that Eddie wouldn't be alone when he woke up. Can you say "family?"

6:18- It's not dumb luck that Eddie survives all of the bad that happens to him!! Also, Bobby proves once again that he is a father figure to Eddie in the way that he's there for him even after what Eddie said to him. This is the first conversation they've had since Eddie blew up on him, and Bobby is still so caring.

6:47- I'm going to be honest, I don't remember this new guy's name (Bryce Durfee), but he appears to be leaving. Good riddance, you could never replace, Chimney (Kenneth Choi)!!

7:16- Seems like another emergency for the 118 to deal with. This guy absolutely seems like the type to get stuck in a donation bin.

13:00- This man spent hours in that donation bin. Lucky for him, Hen (Aisha Hinds) is the best of the best.

13:16- I'll tell you right now, I do not care about these minor characters. I don't need to see them chit-chatting over work when Eddie is literally falling apart. Let's give out established characters some screen time, huh?

15:11- I would give anything, and I mean anything, to play cards with Bobby, Athena (Angela Bassett), Hen, and Karen (Tracie Thoms). This is such a fun little group and, coincidentally, the only two consistent relationships on the show. I love these low-stakes, true love, unbothered couples.

15:31- Karen, literal rocket scientist, is the light of my life. She's so fun and I think she gives great hugs. I don't know how poker works, but I'm glad she won.

16:06- This woman on the bike is going to get hit by a car. I just know it. Her little "Share the Road" sign is not going to work for these annoyed drivers.

16:58- And she did get hit, just not by a car. A stop sign flew out of the bed of a truck. Who is driving around with a , presumably stolen, stop sign?

19:39- She's gonna be okay! Thanks to Hen and Chim, of course. Now, it's up to Athena to figure out who had a stop sign and why...

20:33- More Eddie and Christopher cooking in the kitchen! I hope for Eddie's sake, he doesn't relive any of his trauma. Christopher asking if his dad is okay is super cute!

21:16- "Talking about things that are scary or sad can be... exhausting." I couldn't agree more, Eddie, but it is so so good that are you actually talking about those things.

21:25- "But, it's still a good thing to do, so I'm gonna keep talking to Frank, and eventually, I will feel better." Oh, Eddie!!! I am so happy that he is actually working through this trauma in such a healthy way! And, he's showing his son that asking for help and getting that help is worth it! Gosh, I am so proud of Eddie for being vulnerable enough to face the fact that he's not in control of his trauma and he needs help. This shows so much growth from the man who joined a street fighting club to work out his anger- now he's in therapy and he's making progress! This is so important!!

21:36- "The things that make you sad, am I one of them?" Oh, no Christopher. Oh, absolutely not. Hold that boy tighter, Eddie. That one line broke my heart the way I am so sure that it shattered Eddie's. Gosh, the writers on the show know how to pack a punch.

22:58- Maddie brought Jee-Yun to the hospital? I'm sure she'll be alright!!

23:04- Why is Lucy watching footage of her save from the beginning of the episode? Here comes Buck, he would offer advice after all he's been through!

23:09- "She should have died." I'm sorry, Lucy, what? Your literal job is to save her and you think she should've died? Okay, then, maybe time to find a new job.

23:48- Lucy is just replaying the scenarios of her not being able to catch the woman? Okay, maybe you got lucky, but just accept that because the woman lived. That's a good thing.

27:33- Eddie in therapy!! I love that they're showing all of Eddie's journey to recovery. He's been through a lot and he deserves to feel okay again.

28:47- Eddie coming home to Buck? Yeah, that's what I thought. Tell me again that they're not a little family, Fox, I dare you.

29:11- Buck and Christopher drew Eddie hearts?! Excuse me while I scream! And Buck "misunderstood the assignment," but he was still helping Chris with his homework. You're telling me while Eddie was at therapy working on getting better, Buck, Chris's other dad (a girl can dream), was home helping Christopher with homework? Everybody say it with me now: "They're a family!"

29:22- So help me, God, if these two men have a heart-to-heart conversation right now I might not make it out alive. I most definitely will not survive it, not after the heart drawings.

29:44- Oh boy. Eddie is being so open and vulnerable these last few episodes and I love it. I would like to point out that it's all been with Buck though. He's been able to open up to Buck, his partner at the 118, his best friend, his partner is literally any sense of the word. Eddie feels safe with Buck and no one can convince me otherwise.

30:54- Jee is okay! Maddie and Chim can relax, their baby can go home!

31:23- Oh, look, the kids who stole the street sign the other day. I wonder what kind of trouble they're going to get into now...

31:51- This kid just got HIT by that car. Why was the car going so fast? I suppose because the didn't see a stop sign, since it was being stolen.

32:25- He looks pretty badly injured. Athena is taking CHARGE of the situation.

34:08- I would bet that the bloody shoe reminds Athena of Harry, her son, who's the same age as the boy that got hit by the car. He made a stupid decision, but he's still too young to die.

34:37- Like Athena said, "He's a kid. A dumb, stupid kid." I hope he's going to be alright, but I also hope he learned his lesson.

37:07- "I wonder how many other people we've inadvertently saved by saving someone else." Buck's reaction to that tells me he's going to make it about Eddie, and I know I'm right because I know these boys.

37:59- "You know, Harry has those same shoes." I figured that's what had Athena rattled on the scene. She loves her kids.

38:25- The boy is going to be alright! He made it out of surgery!

38:44- I was not prepared to see Taylor (Megan West). I will not be discussing her presence any further. Call me when this scene is over.

39:42- Buck, Christopher, AND Eddie all at the stables together? They genuinely look like a family now. This is a beautiful episode for the Buckley-Diaz Family.

41:03- Is this another heart-to-heart between Eddie and Buck? Yes. Are fans of Buck and Eddie winning in this episode? Yes.

41:14- Eddie just looks exhausted. Ryan Guzman has done such a good job playing Eddie working through his trauma both mentally and physically. I just needed to point that out. Back to Buck being the most supportive person.

41:18- Addressing the shooting directly? No beating around the bush? Evan Buckley, I love you. Yes, let's talk about your shared trauma of one of you getting shot and the other having to see his best friend almost die in his arms. Talk about it. Please. This is so good for both of you.

41:55- I called it! Buck is showing Eddie the lives he's saved! He's showing Eddie the good he does for others. Charlie is alive because of Eddie and he is doing so much better because of what Eddie did for him! Buck is the sweetest person in the entire world for doing this.

42:09- "He looks happy." "Cause he got the help he needed. And that started with you. [...] You gave him that second chance." Okay, Buck, now I'm crying. This moment for Eddie is going to be huge for him. I know he thinks that everyone he saved is gone, but he has saved so many other people by being a firefighter. Buck was so right for bringing him to Charlie. Ugh, Buck really knows Eddie and I'm so glad they have each other.

42:29- EDDIE'S FIRST REAL SMILE IN AGES! He got to see someone he saved living a better life because of what he did.

43:33- The end. A phenomenal episode. A win for the Buckley-Diaz family. It was all I could have hoped for and more.

And, real quick, what was that?

The number one show of the night? That's what I thought!

Thank you, and good night!
